MEDALLION CATERING POLICIES

MENUS
Enclosed for your consideration are the banquet menus you requested with our current tariff sheet. Please note that the prices quoted do not include the 18% service charge, nor the Pennsylvania sales tax of 6%, which is applicable to all food and beverage charges.

COCKTAILS
There is a labor charge of $30.00 per bartender per hour. Overtime charges are $15.00 per bartender per hour or fraction thereof.

GUARANTEES
As for all catered functions, the final attendance must be definitely specified 72 hours (three business days) in advance, before 12:00 Noon. Once received by the Catering Office, the number will be considered a guarantee, not subject to reduction.

LABOR/SERVICE CHARGE
Please note we require a minimum of $50.00 for any food and beverage function, the difference will be added to your account. All menu pricing is based upon service in Henry's and based on two hours of service. Should your event exceed the contracted times, you will be billed for the extended service at a rate of $18.00 per hour per service personnel. Requests for service outside Henry's will incur a $2.00 per person china fee to cover additional costs of handling. Linen tablecloths will be provided at no cost for buffet and food related stations. If you require additional linens to cover eating, guest or meeting tables, please add $2.00 per table cloth, for standard size linens. Wilkes University Medallion Catering asks that you provide suitable tables at each of your events. These tables should be set up and ready for the catering team prior to their arrival. The catering team is not responsible for the moving, setting or the arranging of event tables or chairs. Your account will be charged the appropriate fee should catering have to set or arrange tables and or chairs. The Director of Catering is available to make suggestions or answer any questions you may have concerning logistics and locations. All functions that require equipment is the responsibility of that department or person making the arrangement. Replacement costs will be billed for any damaged or missing equipment.

CAKES
We have a professional bakeshop which prepares delicious cakes and other bakery delights. Our Director of Catering will also be able to provide you with a list of cake designers for special occasions.

PARKING
Please make arrangement through Wilkes University's Police Services and Safety Department.

FLORIST
If you are interested in floral decoration we would be happy to make all arrangements for you. However, should you wish to use your own florist, this would be fine.

AUDIO VISUAL
Please make arrangement through Wilkes University's Information Technology Department.

MUSIC
Please make arrangements through Wilkes University's Music Department.

LINEN
Wilkes University has a linen selection with a variety of colors to choose from at no extra charge for plated or buffet style meals. Please add $2.00 per tablecloth if needed for receptions or meetings. Skirting can be rented at $15.00 per skirt.

COAT CHECK
Please make arrangements with that specific building's Director.

TRANSPORTATION
Should you need a limousine, a mini bus or a large bus, we will be happy to make arrangements for you either in advance or at a moments notice.

DEPOSIT/PAYMENT POLICY
All special event and room reservation requests must be accompanied by a food and beverage request form. Forms are available from department heads and/or from the Office of Student Affairs. The request form must be signed by the Vice President of Student Affairs and bear a number issued by the Student Affairs Office. Groups or individuals whom are paying by cash, check and/or credit card are required to pay a 75% deposit of the estimated bill when the event order is written. The remainder of the bill is due prior to services being rendered on the day of the event.
